On January 8, Jiangsu Guofu Hydrogen Energy Technology Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guofu Hydrogen"), a leading Chinese enterprise in the entire industry chain of hydrogen energy equipment, formally signed a business cooperation agreement with the Australian green hydrogen enterprise Line Hydrogen (Australia) Pty Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Line Hydrogen"). This signing not only deepens the existing strategic investment relationship between the two parties but also marks a milestone for Guofu Hydrogen, as it has successfully secured long-term supply orders for key equipment in the core hydrogen energy project in Tasmania, Australia, through its prior strategic investment, laying a solid foundation for its in-depth cultivation of the green hydrogen market in Australia and even Oceania.

As a leading equipment provider covering the entire hydrogen energy industry chain—"production, storage, transportation, refueling, and application"—Guofu Hydrogen has emerged prominently in the international market layout by leveraging its technological barriers and capacity advantages. The company is one of the few domestic enterprises that master both ALK and PEM water electrolysis hydrogen production technologies. Moreover, it has ranked first in the national market share for hydrogen refueling station equipment for five consecutive years, with sales of high-pressure hydrogen storage cylinders for vehicles consistently leading the industry. Its self-developed liquid hydrogen technology achieves internationally advanced levels in comprehensive energy consumption, and its capability for localisation of core equipment is outstanding. The partner in this collaboration, Line Hydrogen, is a high-growth pre-IPO enterprise in Australia's green hydrogen sector, deeply involved in national-level hydrogen demonstration projects. Its business covers key segments such as hydrogen production, refueling, and hydrogen-powered heavy truck applications, and it possesses profound technical expertise in industrial green electricity solutions. Its green hydrogen project near Bell Bay, Tasmania, is a key layout for the scaled development of the local hydrogen industry.

According to the cooperation agreement, the two parties will take the Tasmania hydrogen project as the initial collaboration point and commence comprehensive synergistic cooperation. Guofu Hydrogen will provide the project with complete sets of core equipment and full-process service support, including water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment, hydrogen refueling station systems, and multiple-element gas containers (MEGC), along with supporting installation, commissioning, technical training, and operation and maintenance services, establishing a full-chain cooperation system from equipment supply to post-project support. To ensure cooperation stability, the two parties have also established institutional arrangements such as priority supply mechanisms to guarantee efficient linkage across the industry chain's upstream and downstream, fully promoting the scaled implementation of green hydrogen business. It is reported that the initial planned daily capacity of the Tasmania project is 1.69 mt of green hydrogen, primarily supplying the transportation sector. In the future, the capacity is expected to gradually expand to nearly 15 mt per day. The project's power supply will rely on the 4.95 MW Bell Bay PV power station, which commenced operation in 2023, achieving a full-process low-carbon closed loop for green hydrogen production from green electricity.

This cooperation creates a win-win situation with complementary advantages. Leveraging Line Hydrogen's local resources, market experience, and project qualifications, Guofu Hydrogen will accelerate its breakthrough into the Australian market, promoting the overseas deployment of its entire industry chain equipment technology and service model, and further expanding its market presence in Oceania. Meanwhile, Line Hydrogen can utilize Guofu Hydrogen's core equipment supply capability and scale capacity advantages to accelerate project construction, providing solid support for its business expansion and capitalisation process. This collaboration also aligns with the development trends of Australia's hydrogen energy industry. Currently, Australia is leveraging its revised National Hydrogen Strategy for 2024 to introduce policies such as tax incentives and project subsidies, promoting the transition of the green hydrogen industry from the demonstration phase to large-scale development. The focus is on hard-to-abate sectors like transportation and industry, creating a favorable policy environment for bilateral cooperation.
