Recently, Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry Co., Ltd. delivered a batch of 100 M-series hydrogen fuel buses to Guangzhou Public Transport Group Co., Ltd. This large-scale delivery not only represents a significant achievement for King Long Bus in deepening its presence in the commercial hydrogen energy vehicle sector, but also precisely aligns with Guangzhou's needs for demonstrating and promoting hydrogen buses, injecting strong momentum into the zero-carbon, high-quality transformation and upgrading of urban public transport.

As an upgraded star series car model launched by King Long Bus in 2024, the delivered M-series hydrogen fuel buses feature five core highlights, achieving comprehensive improvements in travel experience, operational efficiency, and profit potential. In terms of accessibility, the buses adopt a fully flat low-floor design with no steps throughout, creating an all-age-friendly riding environment, ensuring barrier-free access for wheelchairs, and fully accommodating the travel rights of special groups. Regarding power performance, the buses are equipped with highly efficient and integrated electric drive axle technology. By shortening the rear overhang and lengthening the wheelbase, they achieve a dual enhancement in space utilization rate and drive efficiency, balancing riding comfort and driving stability. The energy system is equipped with a 116kW large power, high-integration fuel cell system, integrating core components with a multi-purpose controller, which improves reliability while significantly reducing hydrogen consumption, thereby reducing costs for operators. In terms of profit potential, optimizing and enlarging the advertisement display area on the rear wall opens up diversified revenue channels. Innovatively optimizing the front wheel arch design in spatial layout effectively increases passenger capacity, adapting to the high-volume travel demands of cities.

Facing a tight delivery schedule, King Long Bus coordinated resources across the entire chain including R&D, production, quality inspection, and logistics. With a scientific production schedule and efficient collaboration, they completed the entire process of vehicle manufacturing, performance testing, and factory acceptance with high quality, demonstrating strong production organization capabilities and a "customer-centric" service philosophy. Looking back to September this year, this car model attracted industry attention upon its debut at the 2nd (Guangzhou) International Public Transport New Energy and Digital Technology Industry Expo. During the exhibition, King Long Bus also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Yuntao Hydrogen Energy, laying a solid foundation for this large-scale delivery.

The deployment of these 100 hydrogen fuel buses is a vivid practice of the effective implementation of Guangzhou's hydrogen energy industry policies. As a core city in the national fuel cell vehicle demonstration city cluster, Guangzhou is promoting the large-scale application of hydrogen energy transport through multiple measures such as subsidy incentives and the layout of hydrogen refueling stations. With over a decade of hydrogen technology accumulation, King Long Bus has developed a comprehensive fuel cell product system. The relevant car models have accumulated a total mileage exceeding 24.28 million kilometers, and their product reliability has been verified through large-scale application. This delivery not only provides a practical model for the commercial operation of hydrogen-powered buses in Guangzhou, but also offers a replicable "King Long solution" for the nationwide promotion of hydrogen energy in the commercial vehicle sector.
