Breaking 85% External Dependence! Domestically Developed Helium Extraction Project Passes Acceptance, High-Purity 5N Helium from Shale Gas Achieved

Recently, the Sichuan Jiuyuan Special Gas Shale Gas Comprehensive Utilization Project, constructed by Sichuan Dact Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hydrogen Maple, under the EPC general contracting model, was successfully completed and passed the owner's final acceptance. As a large-scale crude helium refining project utilizing fully independent proprietary technology, its implementation will effectively enhance China's helium resource self-sufficiency capacity and alleviate the "bottleneck" constraint in the high-end helium supply.

The core highlight of this project lies in its autonomous and controllable technology. Dact Energy employed its independently developed proprietary helium extraction process, integrating multiple core technologies such as membrane separation, dehydrogenation, and PSA pressure swing adsorption. Compared to traditional cryogenic separation methods, it not only offers advantages in investment costs but also features operational flexibility, stable performance, and convenient start-up and shutdown. The helium produced by the project maintains a stable purity higher than 99.999% (5N grade), with all key indicators fully meeting standards, adequately satisfying the stringent requirements for high-purity helium in high-end applications.

Helium, a strategic rare resource critical to national security and high-tech development, is widely used in key fields such as aerospace, semiconductor manufacturing, MRI low-temperature superconductivity, and optical fiber manufacturing. China's helium external dependence has long remained around 85%, primarily relying on imported supply. This project achieves direct extraction of high-purity helium from shale gas, not only providing a stable, high-quality domestic helium source for downstream industries but also broadening the purification pathways for helium-containing gas sources like BOG gas during natural gas and LNG production, further improving China's rare gas extraction industry chain.

The acceptance of this project signifies that Dact Energy's technical capabilities and engineering delivery capacity in the fields of shale gas comprehensive utilization and rare gas extraction have gained market recognition.
