On December 26, Rongcheng New Energy launched the trial operation of its first batch of hydrogen-assisted two-wheelers in Jinnan District, Tianjin, expanding the application scenarios of hydrogen energy from the commercial vehicle sector to daily short-distance travel. This initiative empowers urban transportation with clean and intelligent technology, injecting new momentum into the construction of zero-carbon cities.
These hydrogen-assisted two-wheelers feature three core advantages: greenness, safety, and intelligence. Equipped with advanced fuel cell technology, they achieve zero emissions throughout the entire journey, embodying the concept of low-carbon travel. Utilizing industry-leading low-pressure solid-state hydrogen storage technology, they undergo comprehensive upgrades from hydrogen storage materials to encapsulation processes, ensuring safety while simplifying maintenance. Fitted with an intelligent power-assist system that automatically adjusts power output based on road conditions, a single hydrogen refueling provides a driving range of over 80 kilometers, easily covering daily commutes and leisure trips. Additionally, they come standard with user-friendly designs such as baskets and cup holders, balancing practicality and aesthetics.
During the trial operation period, the vehicles will be provided free of charge to Rongcheng Group employees, creating a closed-loop short-distance transportation solution. Currently, six parking points have been set up in Jinnan District: north of the bicycle shed in Rongxiang Garden, west of the Sanzhi Garden canteen, at the entrance of the Hydrogen Energy Town, the parking shed of the old office building at the steel mill, the parking shed of the new office building at the steel mill, and the parking shed of the steel mill's bar workshop.
Rongcheng New Energy, with hydrogen energy technology at its core, continues to expand application scenarios across multiple fields. This trial operation of hydrogen-assisted two-wheelers represents a significant exploration of hydrogen energy technology empowering short-distance travel, which will further promote the popularization of zero-carbon travel concepts and contribute to the green transformation of urban transportation and ecological environmental protection.
