Gansu Electric Power Investment and CNNC New Energy Signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement to Build a New Benchmark for Central-Local Cooperation in New Energy

 On December 18, Pu Peiwen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Gansu Electric Investment Group, met with Zhang Yan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CNNC New Energy in Beijing. The two sides held in-depth discussions on the development of large-scale new energy bases and the integrated development of the power industry chain, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement, opening a new chapter of deep cooperation in the field of clean energy.

Pu Peiwen expressed gratitude for the long-term support from CNNC and CNNC New Energy, and introduced Gansu Electric Investment's experience and cooperation ideas in power industry development, construction of large-scale new energy bases, and operation management of peak shaving thermal power. He stated that as a core force in the clean energy transition, CNNC possesses profound technical expertise and outstanding professional advantages. He expressed hope that the two sides would combine their strengths to jointly advance the "Desert, Gobi, and Barren Land" large-scale new energy base project, deepen cooperation in areas such as the hydrogen energy industry and comprehensive energy services, extend the new energy consumption-end industry chain, and create a benchmark for central-local cooperation.

Zhang Yan welcomed the visit of Pu Peiwen and his delegation, and introduced the layout of CNNC's new energy industry. He pointed out that as a leader in Gansu's power industry, Gansu Electric Investment has strong capabilities in local resource allocation and project operation management, which highly aligns with CNNC's new energy layout needs in the northwest. He expressed hope that both sides would take this signing as an opportunity to strengthen collaboration in securing high-quality energy projects, extending the industry chain, and cultivating new quality productive forces, thereby building a demonstration-type new energy industry ecosystem and contributing to the establishment of a new-type multi-energy complementary energy security system in the region.
