On the afternoon of December 12, Ren Yahui, Chairman of Shanghai Hydrogen Tong Energy Group, led the company's core team to visit the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST). They held in-depth discussions with USST President Zhu Xinyuan, along with heads of the Scientific Research Academy and Graduate School, and faculty representatives from fields such as energy materials, materials chemistry, mechanical engineering, and energy dynamics. The discussions centered on the development of the hydrogen energy industry, technological R&D, and talent cultivation, laying a solid foundation for subsequent industry-university-research collaborative innovation between the two parties.

At the exchange meeting, Tan Hua, Executive Vice President of the USST Scientific Research Academy, first outlined the university's development profile, covering aspects such as the talent cultivation system, technological innovation platforms, and the transformation of scientific research achievements. Subsequently, faculty representatives from relevant colleges delivered thematic reports on their achievements, focusing on core areas including the R&D of hydrogen energy materials, breakthroughs in key hydrogen production technologies, innovation in precision parts for hydrogen fuel cell systems, and the application of ESS technology. Both parties engaged in enthusiastic discussions on hot topics such as core technological bottlenecks in the hydrogen energy industry chain and the expansion of application scenarios. The atmosphere was vibrant, leading to consensus on multiple potential collaborations.

Chairman Ren Yahui provided a detailed introduction to the industrial layout and development achievements of Shanghai Hydrogen Tong Energy. As a national high-tech enterprise focused on the entire hydrogen energy industry chain, the company's mission is to "lead the development of the hydrogen energy industry and contribute to a green, low-carbon future." It has achieved significant results in core equipment R&D, industry chain integration, and the implementation of demonstration projects: it has not only established a comprehensive layout covering hydrogen production, storage, transportation, refueling, and utilization, but has also launched series products such as 200kW and 300kW systems in the field of large-power hydrogen fuel cells. It has developed benchmark products like the world's first 260-mt hydrogen-powered mining truck for specific scenarios such as mines and ships. Furthermore, the company has deployed multiple production sites and integrated green hydrogen and ammonia production projects across the country, demonstrating strong industrialisation capabilities. He stated that USST's disciplinary strengths and scientific research capabilities in areas like energy materials and mechanical manufacturing highly align with the company's needs for tackling core technologies and high-end talent. He expressed anticipation for achieving mutual benefits through in-depth cooperation.

President Zhu Xinyuan extended a warm welcome to Ren Yahui and his delegation and spoke highly of Shanghai Hydrogen Tong Energy's forward-looking layout and practical achievements in the hydrogen energy industry. He emphasized that hydrogen energy, as a key track in the national "dual carbon" strategy, has become a core force in the transformation of the energy structure. As an application-oriented research university, USST consistently adheres to the core logic of "basing efforts on industrial needs and focusing on future development." Its engineering strengths and disciplinary layout naturally complement the industrial needs of Shanghai Hydrogen Tong Energy. He stressed that cooperation between universities and enterprises should not only address current industry demands but also anticipate future necessities. By gaining early insights into industry trends and building core competencies, the university aims to supply the industry with high-quality talent that is "employable, retainable, and capable of growth."
