






On December 9, Xie Shu, Chairman of Chunhua Hydrogen Energy Technology (Hunan) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Chunhua Hydrogen Energy"), and his delegation visited Changsha University of Science and Technology. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics such as university-enterprise cooperation, joint scientific research, and talent cultivation, and formally signed the "University-Enterprise Cooperation Framework Agreement," marking the substantive advancement of industry-university-research collaboration between the two parties in the field of hydrogen energy.
During the visit, Chairman Xie Shu and his delegation specially called on Zheng Jianlong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Academician Zheng highly praised the achievements of Chunhua Hydrogen Energy in breakthroughs of core electrolysis water hydrogen production technology and the construction of an independent intellectual property system. He provided important guidance on high-performance membrane electrode materials, electrolyzer structure optimization, key technologies for green hydrogen production, and the development direction of the hydrogen energy industry, clarifying the core direction for the university-enterprise cooperation.
At the signing ceremony, Zhang Junhui, Vice President of Changsha University of Science and Technology, attended along with heads and experts from relevant departments such as the Office of Science and Technology, the School of Energy and Power Engineering, and the School of Materials. The technical and management backbone team of Chunhua Hydrogen Energy also participated. The two sides conducted in-depth alignment in key areas including hydrogen production, core electrolysis water technology, membrane electrode materials, and electrical coupling technology. The scientific research strengths of the various schools highly aligned with the industrial needs of the enterprise, creating a strong atmosphere for cooperation.
According to the agreement, the two sides will focus on five key cooperation areas: jointly establishing a hydrogen energy joint laboratory and scientific research innovation platform; jointly tackling core technologies such as advanced membrane electrodes and electrolyzers; setting up a postdoctoral workstation and jointly cultivating master's and doctoral talents; promoting the transformation of scientific research achievements and standard formulation; and establishing a long-term two-way visitation and exchange mechanism. Adhering to the principle of "practical implementation," they aim to avoid "paper cooperation" and achieve deep integration of scientific research and industry.
As an alumnus of Changsha University of Science and Technology, Chairman Xie Shu recalled his deep connection with his alma mater and shared the ten-year development journey of Chunhua Hydrogen Energy: extending from manned spacecraft oxygen supply system technology to civilian electrolysis water hydrogen production, independently developing multiple models of electrolyzers and participating in national standard formulation, and long-term dedication to innovation across the entire chain of "clean electricity → clean energy." He expressed the hope to work hand-in-hand with his alma mater to achieve joint breakthroughs in core technologies, materials, and industrialisation, producing more disruptive achievements.
Vice President Zhang Junhui introduced that Changsha University of Science and Technology has strong scientific research capabilities in the fields of energy, electric power, materials, chemical engineering, and chemistry, possessing several provincial, ministerial, and national-level scientific research platforms with a solid foundation for achievement transformation. He emphasized that the university's disciplinary advantages highly match the industrial layout of Chunhua Hydrogen Energy, and this cooperation will effectively promote the application of scientific research results, providing strong support for the construction of Hunan's hydrogen energy industry ecosystem.
Reportedly, the two parties have clarified the next steps: initiating the construction of a joint hydrogen energy laboratory, advancing the postdoctoral workstation and talent cultivation plan, deeply aligning the application for scientific research projects, organizing thematic seminars for R&D teams, and focusing on joint breakthroughs in hydrogen energy equipment, materials, and systems to achieve high-quality results transformation.
