Recently, hydrogen aviation leader Hydrogen Flight Technology successfully secured nearly 70 million yuan in institutional financing. This round was led by Junship Capital, with existing shareholder Xinghua Dingli establishing a special fund to continue increasing investment. The funds will primarily be used for hydrogen aviation technology iteration, ton-level aircraft power system R&D, and scaling applications in civilian scenarios, signaling strong market recognition of hard-tech value in hydrogen aviation and injecting robust confidence into the industry's development.
Since its founding in 2017, Hydrogen Flight Technology has adhered to the philosophy of "value-driven scientific innovation," focusing on air-cooled fuel cell technology and aviation applications. It has overcome key challenges such as rapid activation, high-low temperature adaptability, low-humidity operation, and high-altitude performance, setting multiple industry records: achieving the world's first stable ultra-low temperature flight of a hydrogen fuel cell aircraft in 2021; and setting a world record in 2023 at the State Grid Mohe low-temperature laboratory with a -40°C air-cooled fuel cell drone flight, becoming the first company globally to obtain IEC air-cooled fuel cell certification.
Behind these technological breakthroughs is the support of a top-tier team. Led by national-level leading talent Liu Haili, the company has gathered research talent from renowned institutions such as the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beihang University, and Northwestern Polytechnical University. The core executive team all possess senior experience with director-level or above positions at global leaders such as Infineon, COMAC, and Boeing, forming an end-to-end core competitiveness spanning "R&D–engineering–market."
Leveraging solid technological accumulation, Hydrogen Flight Technology has achieved the leap from technical validation to scaled implementation: in the industrial drone sector, its hydrogen-powered products hold nearly 100% market share in the State Grid inspection segment and were the first to pass certification by the Electric Power Research Institute; its hydrogen power conversion solution for DJI drones has received official recognition, with the M400 hydrogen power pack becoming the first DJI mass-production certified hydrogen-powered product in October 2025, fully integrated into DJI’s industry application service system, having received orders worth tens of millions of yuan and completed deliveries.
In the heavy-lift aviation sector, the company innovatively adopted a small-power fuel cell stack array technology, successfully powering a 400 kg multi-rotor aircraft, achieving a 1-hour flight time with an 80 kg payload—far exceeding the performance of comparable lithium battery aircraft. It has now partnered with companies including Diamond Aircraft Austria, Yitong UAV, the 602nd Research Institute, and AVIC General Aircraft to advance into the ton-class electric aircraft power sector.
At the same time, Hydrogen Flight Technology is leveraging its aviation-grade technology to empower civilian applications. Hydrogen fuel cell shared bicycles developed in cooperation with Yadea Group have been deployed in Xiaoyi, Shanxi, Chengdu, and other locations, cumulatively serving over 150,000 users and surpassing 7 million kilometers in total operating mileage. Its technology for estimating the residual hydrogen in metal solid-state hydrogen storage bottles has an accuracy error controlled within 3, and a failure rate of less than 5 per thousand in large-scale operations, reaching an advanced level in the industry. This has formed a virtuous development path of "high-end technology breakthrough + mass scenario validation".
Hydrogen Aviation Technology is at the intersection of two strategic emerging industries: hydrogen energy and the low-altitude economy. The success of this round of financing lays a solid foundation for its continued leadership in the industry. Chairman Liu Haili stated that the development of hydrogen energy technology requires practical application scenarios that serve the people. Large-scale ground applications not only reduce the cost of aviation power technology but also achieve rapid product iteration through market feedback. This development path has been recognized by both capital and the market.
Industry analysis points out that as international eVTOL giants increasingly focus on fuel cell aviation, hydrogen power has become the core direction of the 3.0 era of low-altitude travel. With comprehensive advantages in R&D, scenario implementation, and ecosystem collaboration, Hydrogen Aviation Technology is expected to lead China's hydrogen-powered aviation industry from industrial applications to passenger transportation. This round of financing will accelerate the R&D of ton-class aircraft propulsion systems and the expansion into civilian applications, providing core support for major national construction projects and the high-quality development of the low-altitude economy.
