On November 28, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region announced the 2025 list of recognized "First Set of Technical Equipment, First Batch of Critical Parts and New Materials." The EPAI-FCS-200 hydrogen fuel cell engine's critical parts, independently developed by Inner Mongolia Yipai Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd., were successfully included. This marks the product's achievement of leading levels in the autonomous region in terms of technological innovation, performance indicators, and industrialisation applications, providing core equipment support for the high-quality development of the regional hydrogen energy industry.

I. Outstanding Core Technological Advantages, Adaptable to High-Power and Full-Climate Scenarios

The EPAI-FCS-200 fuel cell engine is a flagship product developed by Yipai Hydrogen Energy for high-power scenarios such as heavy-duty trucks and engineering machinery. Its core parts include a high-power density stack, intelligent membrane electrode, low-temperature start module, and dynamic regulation system, achieving breakthroughs in multiple key technologies:

  1. Leading Power and Density: The system's rated power reaches 200kW, with a mass power density exceeding 550W/kg and approaching 600W/kg, a 20% improvement over the industry average, fully meeting the power demands of high-energy-consumption equipment like heavy-duty trucks.
  1. Superior Environmental Adaptability: It can start quickly and operate stably in low-temperature environments as low as -35°C, covering all climate conditions across China, and is particularly suited for application scenarios in cold northern regions such as Inner Mongolia.

II. Securing an Order for 200 Units, Implementing the Green Hydrogen Transportation Closed Loop in Hangjin Banner

In 2025, Yipai Hydrogen Energy secured a sales order for 200 sets of 200kW fuel cell systems for the Hangjin Banner Hang Chemical–Hongqinghe coal transport route in Inner Mongolia. This route is a core consumption scenario for the Hangjin Banner Wind and Solar Power Hydrogen Production Integration Project, which is being developed in collaboration with PowerChina.

The first phase of this integrated project plans to construct 200MW of wind and solar power hydrogen production facilities, accompanied by an ESS and hydrogen refueling stations, establishing a full-chain closed-loop ecosystem of "green electricity–green hydrogen–green transportation":

  1. Substantial Green Hydrogen Capacity: Upon completion, the project is expected to produce 7,010 mt of green hydrogen annually, which can replace 500 traditional fuel-powered heavy-duty trucks and reduce CO2 emissions by 48,000 mt per year.
  1. Adequate Hydrogen Refueling Assurance: The accompanying hydrogen refueling station has a maximum daily refueling capacity of 26 mt, capable of supporting the routine operation of 400 hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks, laying a solid foundation for the scaled expansion of zero-carbon logistics routes.

III. Technological Innovation Drives High-Quality Development of the Hydrogen Energy Industry

This first-set recognition is a dual acknowledgment of Yipai Hydrogen Energy's technological strength and industrialisation capabilities. As a benchmark enterprise in the regional hydrogen energy equipment sector, Yipai Hydrogen Energy focuses on R&D of core parts, achieving a complete cycle from technological breakthroughs to real-world application. Its products not only provide high-quality power solutions for high-power hydrogen energy equipment but also, through synergy with wind and solar power hydrogen production projects, promote the large-scale application of hydrogen energy in the logistics field, setting a practical example for the high-quality development of the hydrogen energy industry in Inner Mongolia and across the nation.
