On November 28, the "2025 CSSC Hydrogen Energy Day" event, themed "Igniting the Future with Hydrogen, Co-creating a Zero-Carbon Ecosystem," was held in Handan, Hebei Province. The event, hosted by China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, attracted over 120 industry representatives from renowned enterprises, industry associations, scientific research institutions, and higher education institutions, who gathered in the ancient city to discuss high-quality development strategies for the hydrogen energy industry.
Under the guidance of China's "dual-carbon" strategy, hydrogen energy has been explicitly designated as a strategic emerging industry and a future industry. As a key pioneer in China's hydrogen energy equipment sector, CSSC leverages over six decades of hydrogen technology expertise, integrating its subsidiaries including the 712th Research Institute, the 718th Research Institute, and the 725th Research Institute to create innovative equipment and integrated solutions covering the entire hydrogen chain—production, storage, transportation, and utilization.
The Hydrogen Energy Day event aimed to establish a high-level industry exchange platform, deeply interpret industrial policies and technological trends, accelerate the large-scale and commercial application of hydrogen energy equipment, and explore new cooperation models in the hydrogen field. The event featured three core segments: achievement releases, thematic reports, and capability demonstrations, focusing on cutting-edge areas such as green hydrogen production, solid oxide fuel cells, and hydrogen storage and transportation equipment.
During the event, relevant units of CSSC officially launched two new hydrogen energy products—the "Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) Electrolyzer" and the "50MPa Hydrogen Storage Cylinder Group for Hydrogen Refueling Stations"—further enriching the corporation's product portfolio in the hydrogen energy equipment sector. Simultaneously, CSSC signed an agreement with Shanghai Reshaping Group for marine fuel cell power generation systems, a move that will consolidate industry consensus, deepen industry-academia-research-application collaborative innovation, and lay the groundwork for the application of hydrogen technology in the maritime sector.
In the future, CSSC will continue to empower China's hydrogen energy industry with its professional technical capabilities, collaborating with industry peers to drive innovative breakthroughs, foster a new ecosystem for cooperative development, and contribute to building a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient energy system for China.
