To mitigate risks such as fatigued driving and ensure the efficient and safe operation of hydrogen fuel cell refrigerated trucks, Guangdong Hydrogen Mobility Joint Monitoring Company has implemented multiple measures to strengthen the safety management of hydrogen-powered cold chain transportation, safeguarding the lifeline of the hydrogen energy industry.
Recently, Guangdong Hydrogen Mobility and the monitoring company held a special safety monitoring meeting, emphasizing that safety is the core of the hydrogen energy industry. Demonstration vehicles in emerging industries must strictly adhere to safety standards and adopt more proactive and intelligent preventive measures. Following the meeting, the operations department and the technical team of the monitoring company formed a joint task force, launching a week-long "Vehicle Safety Campaign": on one hand, conducting systematic inspections of the onboard monitoring equipment for all hydrogen fuel cell refrigerated trucks. Technical personnel carried out thorough checks in parking lots and operational frontlines, inspecting each vehicle individually. Equipment with blurry footage, misaligned angles, or damage was promptly repaired or replaced to ensure comprehensive monitoring and clear "vision."
At the same time, an innovative pilot 24/7 human monitoring duty system was introduced. With the support of the monitoring company, professional monitors observe vehicles in real time. When the system detects signs of driver fatigue, such as yawning or frequent blinking, or dangerous behaviors like using a phone or prolonged deviation from the road, the monitoring center immediately issues remote audio warnings. If necessary, fleet management personnel are notified to intervene, shifting safety management from "post-incident accountability" to "in-process correction," thereby providing drivers with an "electronic safety net."
After improving the hardware and systems, Guangdong Hydrogen Mobility organized a special training session for all cold chain truck drivers, where experts from the monitoring company detailed the objectives, functions, and proper responses under the new monitoring model. Through the training, the drivers transitioned from initial reluctance to understanding and support, recognizing that safe driving is not only a responsibility to the company but also to themselves and their families.
