LUXEED tops this threshold for the second straight month, while firm orders have exceeded that level for three consecutive months.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 28, LUXEED announced that it delivered over 10,000 vehicles in November, topping this threshold for the second straight month, while firm orders have exceeded that level for three consecutive months.

LUXEED is a premium smart-NEV marque jointly developed by Huawei and Chery Automobile. On August 7, 2025, Chery and Huawei's consumer business division formalized a "2.0" strategic partnership for the LUXEED brand during a signing ceremony in Shenzhen, China.

The expanded partnership ushers LUXEED into a new development stage, with more than CNY 10 billion earmarked for R&D and a 5,000-member engineering team planned to strengthen capabilities in driver-assistance technology and electric-powertrain technologies.

LUXEED is also scaling up its design and development footprint. It will draw on dual design centers in Shanghai and Shenzhen while building a new R&D hub in Wuhu's Roland Town — an installation intended to mirror Huawei's Songshan Lake research base. Together, these sites form a multi-city innovation network that brings advanced design and engineering closer to production.

The division of responsibilities between the two partners has become sharper: Huawei is taking the lead on operations and intelligent-system development, while Chery has elevated LUXEED to its top strategic priority, dedicating internal resources to support production and product rollout.

The partnership quickly yielded new products, with updated versions of the LUXEED R7 and S7 officially hitting the market. Pricing for the refreshed R7 starts at CNY 268,000, while the S7 begins at CNY 258,000.

On November 10, 2025, LUXEED announced that cumulative deliveries of its R7 fastback SUV had surpassed 100,000 units — an important milestone for the fledgling brand's market performance.

Another notable development came on November 20, 2025, when Huawei Executive Director Richard Yu revealed at the launch event of the STELATO S9 in Guangzhou that Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) will soon introduce its first flagship MPV.

The MPV — positioned as a top-tier "9-series" flagship — will be sold under the LUXEED brand and built on HIMA's highest-level vehicle platform. It is expected to feature the latest generation HarmonySpace, high-end ADS assisted-driving systems, and both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) powertrain options.

Industry observers say the MPV could mark a pivotal moment for LUXEED, broadening its lineup into a segment where demand remains strong. The model is reportedly slated for a market debut in the first half of 2026.

Leap Motor D99 Launched: Priced 249,800-319,800 Yuan, Features Dual Qualcomm Chips, 700 km Range
On June 25, the Leap Motor D99, the first MPV on Leap Motor's flagship D platform, was officially launched with a selling price of 249,800 to 319,800 yuan. As the flagship masterpiece embodying a decade of Leap Motor's accumulated full-stack in-house R&D technology, the new vehicle is the industry's first to feature dual Qualcomm 8797 central domain control chips built on a 4nm process, delivering a total computing power of 1,280 TOPS. It creates a cockpit-driving integrated super collaboration architecture, providing intelligent upgrade redundancy for the next five years. The Leap Motor D99 offers two powertrain options: range-extender and pure electric. The range-extender version is equipped with an 80.3 kWh range-extender-specific CATL LFP battery, offering a CLTC pure electric driving range of up to 480 km. The pure electric version features the world's first CATL molecular-level fusion super hybrid battery cell, with a battery capacity of 115 kWh and a CLTC pure electric driving range of 700 km. It adopts a full-stack 1,000 V high-voltage architecture, with peak fast charging power exceeding 460 kW, adding over 350 km of driving range with a 15-minute charge.

Zimbabwe Rules Out Extending Lithium Concentrate Export Ban
Zimbabwe's Finance Minister Ncube Mthuli stated unequivocally on June 24 that, despite a collective industry request for a postponement, the government will not extend the ban on lithium concentrates exports originally scheduled to take effect in January 2027. He noted that enterprises unable to build their own plants could be encouraged to sign processing trade agreements with supplied materials with companies possessing processing capacity. The minister's remarks came after most of the country's lithium producers requested more time last week to complete the construction of beneficiation plants.

【SMM New Energy News】MOFCOM and 6 Other Departments Launch Campaign Against Illegal Scrap Vehicle Recycling
The Ministry of Commerce, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and four other authorities have jointly formulated an action plan for a special campaign against the illegal recycling and dismantling of scrapped motor vehicles. The initiative aims to crack down on the illegal acquisition of end-of-life vehicles under the guise of "used car purchasing" and their subsequent resale to unauthorized dismantling sites. It will trace vehicle origins to sever illegal recycling supply chains.
