China Energy Engineering Group East China Electric Power Equipment Co., Ltd. Visited China Huaneng Group Gansu Company in Lanzhou to Discuss Cooperation and Development in the Energy Sector

On November 21, Zhou Yi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Energy Engineering Group East China Engineering Corporation Limited (East China Institute), led a delegation to Lanzhou to visit Zhang Donghui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Huaneng Gansu Energy Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huaneng Gansu Company"). The visit aimed to deepen cooperation between the two parties in areas such as the planning and construction of large-scale bases and traditional thermal power projects, jointly promoting the high-quality development of the energy industry. The two sides held in-depth discussions on cooperation matters in the energy sector and reached broad consensus on future collaboration directions.

During the exchange, Zhou Yi introduced the recent reforms and developments at East China Institute and elaborated on its development direction for the coming years, focusing on the "135" strategic layout and the "2+1+1" development plan. He stated that East China Institute is always committed to technological research and innovation in the energy industry, possessing strong technical capabilities and extensive project experience. In the new era, East China Institute has achieved remarkable accomplishments in system planning, new-generation coal power, nuclear power, power grid, and new energy, while actively expanding into emerging business areas such as offshore wind power, green electricity-based hydrogen, ammonia, alcohol, and oil production, and compressed air ESS, providing robust support for the transformation and upgrading of the energy industry.

Zhang Donghui extended a warm welcome to Zhou Yi and his delegation and spoke highly of East China Institute's comprehensive strength in the energy sector. He pointed out that Huaneng Gansu Company focuses on promoting the deep integration of the energy industry with local resources and actively responds to the national "dual-carbon" strategic requirements. The two sides have broad prospects for cooperation in the energy field, and their collaboration is expected to achieve mutual benefits and inject new momentum into the rapid development of the energy industry.
