Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy Yulin Hydrogen Production Demonstration Project Secures 41 Million Yuan in New Fund Loans to Accelerate Green Hydrogen Industry Layout

On November 21, it was reported that the Hydrogen Energy (Hydrogen Production) Demonstration Project in the Yulin Zero-Carbon Industrial Park, under construction by Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy Industry Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy"), recently received a 41 million yuan loan from the second batch of new funds from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). This funding, provided by the Export-Import Bank of China Shaanxi Branch, will be specifically used as project capital, injecting financial vitality to accelerate the project's construction.

Policy and Financial Support Boost Hydrogen Energy Industry Development

The approval of this new fund loan fully reflects the synergistic support of national industrial and financial policies for the hydrogen energy industry under the "dual carbon" background, representing an important measure by governments at all levels to accelerate the strategic layout and implementation of hydrogen energy projects. In the future, Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy will adhere to its "1145" strategic layout, focus on breakthroughs in key technologies across the entire hydrogen energy industry chain, and accelerate the construction of projects in equipment manufacturing, technological innovation, and application scenarios, contributing to the green transformation of Shaanxi's energy sector.

Total Investment Exceeds 20 Billion Yuan, Phased Development to Create a Green Hydrogen Demonstration Base

The Hydrogen Energy (Hydrogen Production) Demonstration Project in the Yulin Zero-Carbon Industrial Park is wholly invested and constructed by Luyuan Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy. Located in the Yuheng Industrial Park, the project has a total planned investment of approximately 20.5 billion yuan, including supporting new energy and ESS projects. The hydrogen production unit covers an area of about 300 mu and is planned to be implemented in two phases, with a total investment of about 690 million yuan.

The first phase, covering 166 mu with a total investment of approximately 410 million yuan, will install 6 electrolyzers and related supporting facilities, achieving a hydrogen production capacity of no less than 4,100 standard cubic meters per hour. The project innovatively adopts a "unveiling the list and appointing the leader" approach to select suppliers for alkaline (ALK) electrolyzers and proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzers, while also demonstrating self-developed solid oxide (SOEC) electrolyzers for industrial application. Upon completion, the first phase is expected to produce 3,000 metric tons of green hydrogen annually, with an estimated annual output value of 75 million yuan and an annual reduction of approximately 60,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Additionally, a 5,000 standard cubic meters per hour electrolyzer testing platform will be constructed for systematic electrolyzer detection and verification.

The second phase will build upon the first phase by selecting hydrogen production processes with low energy consumption and high safety, scheduled for completion and operation in 2028. The goal is to achieve an annual production of 100,000 metric tons of green hydrogen, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 2 million metric tons per year, thereby establishing an important green hydrogen production demonstration base in the northwestern region.
