Yuchai Hydrogen Energy's 30kW-Class PEM Electrolysis Unit Makes Its Grand Debut

From November 13-15, 2025, Yuchai Hydrogen made its debut at the 17th Wuxi International New Energy Exhibition, showcasing its zero-carbon technology products, including a 30kW-class PEM electrolyzer, and zero-carbon power products such as a 60kW fuel cell system. This exhibition is one of the most authoritative and representative industry events, attracting over 10,000 professionals from the new energy sector both domestically and internationally. During the event, Yuchai Hydrogen held the "Yuchai PEM Water Electrolysis Hydrogen Production Innovation Technology Launch Event," officially unveiling its 30kW-class PEM electrolyzer product.

The newly unveiled 30kW-class PEM electrolyzer is a high-efficiency, high-safety, and low-cost product developed by Yuchai for small-scale hydrogen production scenarios and scientific research validation. Its rated energy consumption is ≤4.2 kWh/Nm³ H₂, with a voltage efficiency of ≥80% and a direct hydrogen output pressure range of 0.1–3 MPa. All performance indicators have reached leading domestic levels. Additionally, Yuchai's independently innovated and fully controllable 250kW–1MW-class PEM electrolyzer product, designed for large-scale fluctuating wind and solar power hydrogen production scenarios, will be launched in the near future.

Yuchai Hydrogen Deputy General Manager Wang Yu stated, "The 15th Five-Year Plan period will be a critical phase for China's new energy sector to transition from 'rapid growth' to 'high-quality development,' with wind power, solar power, hydrogen, and energy storage attracting significant attention. As a crucial link connecting wind and solar power with energy storage, hydrogen production will play a key role in the wind-solar-storage industry chain. As a flagship zero-carbon product of Yuchai, the Yuchai PEM hydrogen production equipment boasts superior performance, with all indicators meeting or exceeding leading industry standards, along with exceptional stability and reliability. Currently, customers in Guangdong and Gansu have already completed the first batch of reservations for Yuchai's 250kW-class PEM electrolyzer."
