Beijing Qingwei Membrane Technology AEM Membrane Mass Production Line Officially Unveiled, Boosting Self-Sufficiency in Core Materials for Green Hydrogen

(hereinafter referred to as "Qingwei Membrane Technology") held the unveiling ceremony for its new-type anion exchange membrane (AEM) mass production line at the production site in the Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone. This move marks a critical breakthrough for the company in the industrialisation of core green hydrogen membrane materials, laying a solid foundation for the stable supply and market promotion of high-performance AEM materials, which is of great significance for promoting the self-sufficiency and controllability of China's hydrogen energy core components.

Leaders from the Daxing District Science and Technology Commission, shareholder representatives, park leaders, representatives from sister enterprises, customers, and partner organizations attended the ceremony, jointly witnessing this industrial milestone. At the ceremony site, Qingwei Membrane Technology also presented a banner to the Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone to express gratitude for the park's comprehensive support in terms of policy assistance and supporting services, highlighting the positive trend of government-enterprise collaboration in promoting the development of the hydrogen energy industry.

Xiong Hui, Founder/CEO of Qingwei Membrane Technology, stated in his speech that the launch of the AEM mass production line represents a key leap from laboratory achievements to industrial transformation. As the industrialisation vehicle for the original achievements of Researcher You Wei's team from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the company has been shouldering the mission of "achieving self-sufficiency and controllability of high-performance anion exchange membranes" since its establishment. Reviewing the development history, the company moved into the Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone in July 2024 to begin its industrial layout, broke ground on the factory in March 2025, completed the demonstration production line in just seven months, and now possesses stable, large-scale supply capability for high-performance anion exchange membranes and ionomers.
