Tracking of Green Hydrogen Projects—China Shipbuilding Peric Hydrogen Leads Project Approved as a National Major Science and Technology Project

Recently, the "Hundred-Megawatt-Level Wind and Solar Power Hydrogen Green Fuel Flexible Load Regulation and Power Grid Flexible Interaction Demonstration Project," jointly submitted by China Shipbuilding Group's Seventh 18th Research Institute's subsidiary, China Shipbuilding (Handan) Peric Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Peric Hydrogen Energy"), has been approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and included in the National Major Science and Technology Project for Smart Grids.

This project aims to address industry challenges such as the long interaction chain in wind and solar power hydrogen demonstration projects, the high complexity of hydrogen-electric safety, and the difficulty of integrating safety and efficiency. It will develop multi-modal electrolysis converters and high-performance integrated electrolytic hydrogen production equipment. By breaking through key technologies for the safe and efficient integration of electricity-hydrogen-green fuel, the project will establish a typical paradigm for deep interaction, formulate a series of technical specifications, promote the transformation of load systems from "passive electricity reception" to "active service to the grid," and support energy conservation, carbon reduction in high-energy-consuming industries, and the green transition of the energy and power sector.

As a leading enterprise in the domestic hydrogen energy field, Peric Hydrogen Energy leverages over six decades of technological accumulation to form a complete hydrogen equipment industry chain, with an annual capacity of 1.5 GW and multiple independent intellectual properties. Following this approval, the company will accelerate project R&D and the transformation of results, injecting new momentum into the low-carbon transition of the energy industry and the achievement of the "dual carbon" goals.
