On October 28, the groundbreaking ceremony for Haitian New Energy's Kangbao–Caofeidian Hydrogen Long-Distance Pipeline Project was successfully held in Zhangbei County, Zhangjiakou. The event detailed the pipeline project overview, construction plan, and future development blueprint, marking a new phase in hydrogen energy infrastructure development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

As a key component of the national hydrogen pipeline backbone network, the project covers an extensive geographical area, passing through 18 counties and districts across Zhangjiakou, Chengde, and Tangshan. Once completed, it will serve as a critical hub connecting "green hydrogen production bases" with the consumer market.

Its core value lies in effectively integrating the green hydrogen supply chain within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, addressing the geographical mismatch in hydrogen supply and demand, and providing stable and efficient hydrogen transportation support for local green hydrogen, green ammonia, and green methanol industrial clusters. In terms of ecological benefits, the project is expected to deliver significant outcomes after completion, with annual replacements of standard coal reaching 4.81 million mt and CO₂ emission reductions of 9.16 million mt. The ecological value is equivalent to planting 650 million new trees for the planet, offering strong support for China’s "dual carbon" goals. Regarding industrial impact, the project will generate synergistic development effects, directly boosting related industries such as steel, pipeline manufacturing, and logistics, while also promoting coordinated technological advancement across the hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, and ESS upstream and downstream sectors.

In addition, aligning with the hydrogen energy industry development direction outlined in the "Proposal of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development," the project aims to create a replicable and scalable "Hebei model," providing practical demonstration for hydrogen energy infrastructure development nationwide. Haitian New Energy will also take this opportunity to deepen its involvement in the hydrogen energy sector, accelerate technological breakthroughs and large-scale application, and contribute sustained momentum to China’s green and low-carbon energy transition.
