Recently, 15 units of 49 mt heavy-duty trucks equipped with hydrogen fuel cells developed by Aerospace Hydrogen Energy (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the 811th Research Institute of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), have accumulated an operating mileage of 450,000 kilometers, completing the tasks under the third phase of Shanghai's Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration City project. The battery used is a 225 kW hydrogen fuel cell independently developed by Aerospace Hydrogen Energy, paired with an intelligent operation management system. The product has been widely applied in fields such as logistics transportation, rail transit, and ESS. The car model has also been included in the MIIT's "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Producers and Products" (387th batch) in 2024.

This hydrogen fuel cell system boastsmultiple core advantages:hydrogen consumption of less than 9 kg per 100 kilometers, with a pure hydrogen driving range exceeding 350 kilometers; it adopts a self-developed large power fuel cell liquid-cooled stack manufactured in compliance with automotive-grade standards, uses aerospace-grade durable materials for core components, and offers a cycle life surpassing the industry average; it exhibits strong environmental adaptability, capable of rapid cold starts at -30°C and stable operation under high temperatures of 85°C or low-pressure conditions at high altitudes, ensuring wide scenario compatibility.

Efficient vehicle operation relies onsupport from an intelligent management system:Aerospace Hydrogen Energy, in collaboration with industry chain partners, has established a "smart butler" system covering the entire vehicle operation cycle. Through the integration of onboard sensors and a cloud platform, key data is transmitted in real-time to the monitoring center. Utilizing big data analytics, staff can accurately predict risks; if abnormal fluctuations in hydrogen consumption are detected, the system immediately issues warnings, enabling project teams to intervene and investigate, forming a closed loop of "monitoring-analysis-response-resolution" that achieves "zero-delay" problem response. Vehicle attendance rates remain high, the fuel cell system demonstrates excellent reliability, and both stack power decay rate and hydrogen consumption metrics meet industry-leading standards.

As one of the leading units in Shanghai's fuel cell vehicle demonstration application project,Aerospace Hydrogen Energy continues to make breakthroughs in scenario applications: Phase I focused on 18 mt urban-rural logistics vehicles, Phase II expanded to 45 mt urban logistics vehicles, and Phase III achieved demonstration operations of 49 mt interprovincial logistics heavy-duty trucks. The company has also been designated as the Shanghai City Cluster Fuel Cell Demonstration Application Science and Education Research Base. In the future, Aerospace Hydrogen Energy will leverage aerospace technology to promote the implementation of more hydrogen energy scenarios, contributing to the development of the hydrogen energy industry and the realization of the "dual carbon" goals.
