SF Express Embarks on a "Hydrogen" Journey, with Qingneng Holdings and Tianhai Hydrogen Power Assisting Nanhai in Launching a New Era of Green Logistics

On October 18, the commissioning ceremony for SF Express's first batch of commercial hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks was held at the Yanbu Transit Center in Nanhai, Foshan. During the ceremony, hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks from Shanghai Wuliu Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai Wuliu Automobile") officially commenced operation. These vehicles are equipped with fuel cell systems from Qingneng Co., Ltd. and a Type IV cylinder hydrogen supply system from Tianhai Hydrogen Energy. Twelve 42-mt hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks were officially put into operation and will fully serve SF Express's long-distance logistics transportation in Foshan and surrounding areas in the future. This marks the first deployment of 100 units of hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks in China's express delivery industry, signifying a new stage in the commercial application of hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks.

The hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks commissioned this time follow the design philosophy of "lightweight + long driving range." They are equipped with an 8×450-liter Type IV cylinder hydrogen supply system independently developed by Tianhai Hydrogen Energy, a subsidiary of Tianhai Industry, and the self-developed VL-III series 150kW fuel cell system from Qingneng Co., Ltd. The driving range exceeds 1,500 km, with hydrogen consumption controlled within 8 kg per 100 km.

8×450-Liter Type IV Cylinder Hydrogen Supply SystemUtilizing advanced plastic liner carbon fiber full-wrapping technology, this product currently has the largest volume within the national standard range and offers three core advantages: single cylinder volume increased to 450 liters, with a total system hydrogen storage capacity of up to 86 kg; combined with an LFP battery range-extending system, the maximum driving range can reach 1,700 km; compared to metal liners, the total system weight is reduced by 600 kg. The commercial application of this large-volume, lightweight hydrogen storage technology provides practical equipment support for the large-scale promotion of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in trunk logistics scenarios.

VL-III Series 150kW Fuel Cell SystemThis system boasts excellent performance, high safety, and strong stability, with all indicators at the international forefront. It meets the demands of bulk logistics transportation for strong power and long distance while ensuring significant advantages in operating costs. This achievement benefits from Qingneng Co., Ltd.'s mature VL-III series system platform technology. Since its launch in 2022, the platform's products have accumulated nearly 400 units in domestic and overseas shipments, undergoing rigorous commercial validation and receiving high recognition from the market and customers, becoming an economical, efficient, and green logistics solution for end-users. This technological breakthrough reflects Qingneng Co., Ltd.'s technical advantages in the fuel cell field and lays a solid foundation for the development of the green logistics transportation industry.

The hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks delivered this time are the first batch of supporting vehicles from an order of 100 hydrogen supply systems placed by Tianhai Hydrogen Energy with Shanghai Wuliu Automobile, and are part of a previous order for 100 fuel cell systems signed between Qingneng Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Wuliu. The cooperation between SF Express and Shanghai Wuliu fully demonstrates the strength of industry chain collaborative innovation, jointly helping Nanhai embark on a new journey of green trunk logistics.
