Rongcheng Hydrogen Power: Leading the Formulation of China's First Group Standard for Hydrogen Fuel Cell Control Systems

On October 16, the group standard "Technical Specification for Hydrogen Fuel Cell Control Systems for Medium and Heavy Trucks" (T/CIET 1409—2025), for which Tianjin Rockcheck Hydrogen Power Technology Co., Ltd. served as the primary drafting unit, was officially approved and released. This marks a significant breakthrough in the standardization of core parts for hydrogen-powered heavy trucks in China. As the first specialized technical specification for hydrogen fuel cell control systems in the country, this standard fills a gap in this field and provides crucial technical support for the commercialization of hydrogen-powered heavy trucks.

  • Standard Positioning: The "Specification" defines the system composition, technical requirements, test methods, and other aspects of hydrogen fuel cell control systems for medium and heavy trucks, providing clear and reliable technical guidance for industry enterprises.
  • Industrial Practice: The "Pioneer" large-power hydrogen fuel cell system independently developed by Rockcheck Hydrogen Power has a hydrogen consumption as low as 8 kg per 100 kilometers and a maximum driving range of 700 kilometers. To date, 360 units of 150 kW and 200 kW hydrogen-powered heavy trucks have been delivered and put into actual operation, with an annual capacity of 2,000 units/sets.

Technology Integration and Highlights: The core highlight of the project lies in the synergistic advancement of technology R&D and standard formulation. Leveraging its extensive experience and data resources accumulated in the field of hydrogen energy applications, Rockcheck Hydrogen Power integrated the technical parameters and performance requirements of its independently developed "Pioneer" system, validated in actual operation, into the standard formulation, ensuring the standard's practicality and advancement. The testing of the country's first 400 kW fuel cell hydrogen-powered heavy truck prototype has commenced, with concurrent R&D in cutting-edge technologies such as intelligent driving, reflecting a virtuous development model of "technology leading standards, standards regulating the industry."

Regional Strategic Significance and Industrial Value:
As a top-tier enterprise in China's hydrogen energy industry, Rockcheck New Energy Group positions itself as an integrated solution provider for the hydrogen energy industry. It has established an integrated entire industry chain layout around "production, storage, transportation, refueling, application, R&D, and equipment manufacturing," forming a "one core, two poles" development model. As of now, Rockcheck New Energy has put into operation 860 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and 12 hydrogen refueling stations, cumulatively reducing carbon emissions by 48,600 mt, leading the application practice of hydrogen energy commercial vehicles. The release and implementation of this standard not only provide unified technical specifications for the industry but also promote industrial scale development through standardization, accelerating the transition of hydrogen-powered heavy trucks from demonstration operation to commercial deployment.
