On September 26, Gemyi New Energy Co., Ltd. issued a tender suspension announcement for the procurement of complete hydrogen production equipment for the first phase of the Chayouqianqi Wind and Solar Power Hydrogen Production Integration Project, due to the need for re-tendering after the original tender was invalidated, while the secondary tender documents have not yet been finalized. The project is located in Chahar Right Front Banner, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and represents a significant deployment in the field of wind and solar power hydrogen production.
Project Core Indicators
- Construction Scale: The project aims to establish a water electrolysis hydrogen production facility with a rated hydrogen output of 9,000 Nm³/h and a maximum output of 10,800 Nm³/h, equipped with 36 sets of 250 Nm³/h PEM electrolyzers, along with 9 sets of gas-liquid separation systems, 5 sets of hydrogen purification and drying systems, as well as pure water units, cooling units, and other components.
- Supporting Facilities:
- New Energy Side: Deployment of 50 MW wind power, with an ESS scale tentatively set at 5 MW/20 MWh all-vanadium flow (bidders may optimize the configuration), including the construction of power transmission lines, and the necessary public auxiliary works and supporting facilities for the wind power and ESS.
- Hydrogen Production Side: Construction of a 35 kV prefabricated cabin switch station, IGBT rectifier power supply complete equipment, an integrated green electricity hydrogen production regulation platform, hydrogen filling devices, hydrogen storage facilities, and related public auxiliary works and supporting facilities.
Key Processes and Requirements
- Delivery Date: The first set of PEM equipment and the full set of public system equipment are to be delivered within three and a half months after contract signing, with all equipment delivery completed within four and a half months.
- Tender Situation: The initial project announcement was made on August 5, 2025. Due to the invalidation of the tender, re-tendering is required. The process is currently suspended and will proceed once the secondary tender documents are finalized.
Project Significance
This project employs an off-grid hydrogen production method, utilizing wind power resources for green electricity hydrogen production. It serves as a typical example of the integrated wind and solar power hydrogen production model. If successfully advanced, it is expected to provide clean hydrogen energy for the local and surrounding areas, contributing to the achievement of the "dual carbon" goals. Additionally, it will accumulate experience in equipment procurement and engineering construction for wind and solar power hydrogen production projects, promoting the development of the hydrogen energy industry in terms of technological application and project management.
