On September 20, at the 2025 World Manufacturing Convention, Tomorrow Hydrogen unveiled three major innovations: the launch of the first 120kW marine fuel cell system certified by the China Classification Society, the debut of methanol reforming hydrogen production equipment, and the signing of an order for 500 hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks with Dadaoxing New Energy, marking the industry's largest single order of the year.
Key Specifications:
Marine System: The MTSYS-120 system has a power output of 120kW, a fuel cell stack power exceeding 150kW, a power density of 6.5kW/L, and a service life of 22,000 hours. It supports modular expansion to the megawatt (MW) scale and is suitable for passenger ships, container vessels, and others.
Hydrogen Production Equipment: The methanol reforming hydrogen production solution enables hydrogen refueling stations to produce and use hydrogen on-site. The installation cycle for containerized modules is shortened by 40%, with commissioning achievable within 15 days.
Heavy-Duty Truck Order: The 500 hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks will serve steel enterprises in northern China. Previously delivered vehicles achieved a single-charge driving range of over 700 km and a hydrogen consumption of 8 kg per 100 km, reducing operating costs by 35% compared to diesel trucks and cutting carbon emissions by 413 mt per vehicle annually.
Strategic Significance:
Through its comprehensive "water-land-air" layout (covering marine vessels, heavy-duty trucks, and hydrogen production), Tomorrow Hydrogen is breaking technological boundaries and transitioning from single products to a diversified ecosystem. The certification of the marine system fills a gap in Anhui Province, while the hydrogen production solution covers three pathways—PEM, ALK, and methanol—highlighting the enterprise's technological integration capabilities.
Broader Impact:
This release reflects the multi-dimensional expansion trend of the hydrogen energy industry, with enterprises extending from the transportation sector into shipping and distributed energy, using a technological matrix to lower application barriers. The order for 500 units confirms market recognition of the economic viability of hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks. Large-scale adoption will drive down costs, providing a closed-loop case for the "wind and solar power-hydrogen-storage-application" industry chain.
