On September 22, Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy Industry Development Co., Ltd. announced the list of successful bid candidates for the procurement of the second section [Diaphragm Hydrogen Compressors] of the Yulin Zero-Carbon Industrial Park Hydrogen Energy (Hydrogen Production) Demonstration Project. Three enterprises—Guofu Hydrogen Energy, Zhongding Hengsheng, and Dongde Hydrogen Energy—engaged in fierce competition with bids around 2.05 million yuan. By precisely procuring compressor units of different technical routes, the project aims to build a complete local green hydrogen consumption system covering "production-storage-transportation-utilization."

Project Core Positioning and Technical Pathway:

Resource Recycling: The project innovatively utilizes mine drainage water from the industrial park, which, after desalination, is supplied to electrolyzers for hydrogen production. This integrates wastewater resource utilization with green hydrogen production, aligning with the "zero-carbon industrial park" concept.

Diverse Consumption Modes: The produced hydrogen, after purification and drying, is partially transported via pipeline to Zhongmei Chemical for use as industrial raw material, while the remainder is sold externally through filling columns and hydrogen dispensers. This dual consumption model of "chemical raw material + transportation fuel" effectively ensures the project's economic viability and stability.

Technical Route Breakdown: The procurement of hydrogen compressors for this project is divided into three sections:liquid-driven, diaphragm, and reciprocating. This categorized procurement indicates the project owner's deep understanding of the performance characteristics (such as flow rate, pressure, and continuous operation capability) of compressors in different application scenarios, striving to match the optimal technology for each segment.

Competitive Situation and Industry Structure:

The bidding results for the second section (diaphragm compressors)—Guofu Hydrogen Energy at 2.06 million, Zhongding Hengsheng at 2.05 million, and Dongde Hydrogen Energy at 2.08 million—reveal two key characteristics:

Highly Contested Pricing: The price spread among the top three bidders is less than 30,000 yuan, reflecting intense competition among leading producers in the core equipment market and the high maturity and standardization of diaphragm compressor technology.

Dominance of Specialized Producers: The successful bid candidates are all well-known enterprises in the hydrogen energy equipment sector, demonstrating that specialized and innovative firms with core technologies, reliable products, and extensive project experience have established a dominant market presence in this critical segment.

Regional Strategy and Demonstration Value:

As a national energy and chemical industry base, Yulin’s implementation of the zero-carbon industrial park hydrogen energy demonstration project holds profound strategic significance:

Low-Carbon Transition Pathway for High-Carbon Industries: By directly integrating green hydrogen into the local coal chemical industry, the project provides a feasible model for resource-based cities like Yulin to achieve deep industrial decarbonization through "green hydrogen substitution."

Building a Regional Hydrogen Ecosystem: Through the integrated design of "production, compression, pipeline transportation, and refueling" within the park, it aims to create an internal hydrogen energy cycle system, reducing reliance on external infrastructure and enhancing energy self-sufficiency.

Technology Integration Demonstration: The project serves as a testing ground for different compressor technologies to compete side by side, with its operational data and economic comparisons providing valuable insights for the industry to select the optimal technical solutions.

Conclusion:

Although the Yulin Zero-Carbon Industrial Park project has not disclosed its hydrogen production scale, its refined design in resource utilization, consumption models, and equipment selection demonstrates the trend of the green hydrogen industry shifting from pursuing "grand scale" to focusing on "system efficiency and business models."
