【SMM Nickel Market Flash】Finnish stainless steel producer Outokumpu said on Monday that U.S. import tariffs are causing significant market disruption. According to a company survey, at least one-third of firms have paused or delayed stainless steel orders due to the tariffs, while more than half are reassessing their sourcing strategies. Outokumpu's CEO, Kati ter Horst, also stated that current EU import quotas are too high amid slowing global demand and that she expects the European Commission to announce new measures in October to protect domestic producers.
