Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 17, the Geely Galaxy M9 model went on sale, coming with six PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) trim levels powered by its EM-P system. The SUV is priced between 183,800 yuan and 248,800 yuan, with a limited-time offer bringing the range down to 173,800 yuan to 238,800 yuan.

The Galaxy M9 follows a more conventional SUV design approach. Its closed front fascia is defined by a full-width LED daytime running light, flanked by T-shaped air intakes and a trapezoidal grille with active shutters. A roof-mounted LiDAR unit signals its advanced driver-assist ambitions.

In terms of size, the model measures 5,205 mm long, 1,999 mm wide, and 1,800 mm high, riding on a 3,030 mm wheelbase.

From the side, the vehicle adopts the proportions of a classic full-sized SUV, accentuated by silver trim along the window frames, traditional pull-out door handles, and multi-spoke alloy wheels.

At the rear, a roof spoiler merges seamlessly with a wide light bar, while the large taillamps enhance visibility when illuminated. Chrome accents on the lower bumper outline a twin-exhaust design, further emphasizing its upscale character.

Inside, the Galaxy M9 pairs a 12.66-inch digital instrument cluster with a two-tone, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel. The centerpiece is a 30-inch panoramic touchscreen that extends across to the front passenger side, while the center tunnel integrates dual wireless charging pads along with a mix of physical buttons and rotary dials for essential controls.

Technology is a key highlight. The SUV carries Geely's full-scenario AI Agent system, featuring the industry's first end-to-end AI voice large model. It also brings segment-first innovations such as an AI-driven digital chassis, the latest NordThor EM-P AI Hybrid 2.0 system, and Xingrui AI cloud-based power management.

The cabin adopts a six-seat layout with two independent airline-style seats in the second row, set at a 470 mm step-in height to make boarding easier for elderly passengers. These seats feature integrated leg and lumbar support with ventilation, heating, and 10-point massage functions, and are complemented by a 17.3-inch 3K ceiling-mounted screen. A flat floor design across the second and third rows provides a 180 mm central aisle for easier movement. Cargo capacity stands at 328 liters with all seats in place, expanding to 2,171 liters when the rear rows are folded.

Power comes from a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with three electric motors in a plug-in hybrid configuration. The engine delivers 120 kW, working with an 11-in-1 intelligent electric drive system. Buyers can choose between two battery packs, offering battery-powered ranges of 100 km or 230 km. Combined with AI-driven energy management, the Galaxy M9 promises a total driving range of more than 1,500 km. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and consumes just 4.8 liters of fuel per 100 km when operating on depleted battery. On the driver-assistance side, the model adopts the G-Pilot  H5 platform, enabling door-to-door (D2D) navigation across all parking scenarios.
