






On September 11, a key milestone was achieved for the Hebei Province Key Project—the China Energy Engineering Group (CEEG) Shijiazhuang Luquan District PV Hydrogen Production and Hydrogen Energy Supporting Industry Project: a 15 mt separator compressor was precisely hoisted into place, marking the project's transition from the foundation construction phase to the core equipment installation phase. This equipment is a core device for hydrogen production, and its successful hoisting has pressed the "accelerator key" for subsequent construction, ensuring the project's completion and acceptance inspection as planned by June 2025.
Project Highlights and Significance:
Capacity Scale: With a total investment of 3.2 billion yuan, the project is expected to produce 2,600 mt of green hydrogen and 19,820 mt of by-product liquid oxygen annually, filling the gap in large-scale green hydrogen supply in the Shijiazhuang region.
Industry Chain Value: The project integrates PV power generation with a 5.5MW/11MWh energy storage system, forming a complete chain of "green electricity - green hydrogen - hydrogen energy application," driving the coordinated development of upstream and downstream industries such as hydrogen production equipment, ESS, and fuel cells.
Technical Support: Utilizing internationally advanced alkaline electrolyzer hydrogen production technology, paired with key equipment such as separator compressors, the project achieves a localization rate of over 90% for equipment, reflecting breakthroughs in the independent development of hydrogen energy equipment.
Strategic Positioning: As a key project in the Hebei Province Hydrogen Energy Industry "14th Five-Year Plan," the project will promote Shijiazhuang's transition from industrial by-product hydrogen to green hydrogen, supporting the construction of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei hydrogen energy transportation network.
Construction Progress:
The project was signed and filed in 2023, construction commenced in November 2024, and it was selected as a Hebei Province Key Project in January 2025.
The separator compressor hoisted this time was independently developed by a domestic enterprise, featuring high pressure and high efficiency, capable of meeting the high-purity requirements of green hydrogen production.
Through process optimizations such as "reverse flotation - cold crystallization," the project team ensures construction safety and controllable timelines. Upon completion in 2025, the project is expected to reduce annual carbon dioxide emissions by over 20,000 mt.
The advancement of this project is not only a critical step in the structural upgrade of Shijiazhuang's hydrogen energy industry but also provides a demonstration sample for the large-scale application of renewable energy-based hydrogen production in China.
