EngineAI entered into a strategic partnership with Duolun Technology to accelerate the scaled deployment and commercialization of humanoid robots.

Beijing (Gasgoo)–Recently, China's humanoid robot company Shenzhen EngineAI Robotics Technology Co., Ltd.(EngineAI) entered into a strategic partnership with Duolun Technology, a vehicle driving training and examination systems developer in China, under which the two sides will combine strengths in scenario resources, technology R&D, and market channels to accelerate the scaled deployment and commercialization of humanoid robots across public security, traffic management, and retail sectors.

As part of the agreement, the two companies have also outlined a framework procurement plan. Over the next three years, based on project progress and market demand, Duolun Technology will purchase no fewer than 2,000 humanoid robots for deployment in key application scenarios from EngineAI Robotics.

The collaboration will focus on three core areas. First, the partners will jointly develop a series of customized robots to address practical needs in policing, transportation, and new retail, including service robots for administrative guidance, traffic safety persuasion, security patrols, airport inspections, and mobile retail. Second, they will integrate EngineAI Robotics's expertise in robot design and embodied intelligence algorithms with Duolun Technology's extensive industry data and algorithm models, advancing the convergence of AI, IoT, and big data with robotics to tackle challenges in perception, decision-making, and execution under complex conditions. Third, the two companies plan to boost joint branding by co-hosting product launches, technical seminars, and participating together in major industry exhibitions.

Founded in October 2023 and headquartered in Shenzhen, EngineAI Robotics specializes in developing general-purpose humanoid robots and industry-specific solutions. Its portfolio already includes the full-sized heavy-duty humanoid T800, the lightweight companion humanoid SA02, the PM01 humanoid, and the JS01 quadruped robotic leopard.

The T800 stands 1.85 meters tall, weighs 85 kilograms, and is equipped with 41 high-degree-of-freedom joints, a solid-state battery, and aluminum alloy panels. Its perception system integrates visual, tactile, and force sensors for real-time awareness of complex environments.

The SA02, positioned as "the first humanoid robot for young people," is about 1.25 meters tall, weighs 25 kilograms, and features 28 degrees of freedom along with a built-in large language model. EngineAI Robotics previously announced the SA02 would be priced from just 38,500 yuan.

In July 2025, EngineAI Robotics closed two financing rounds. The Pre-A++ round was led by Rockets Capital, established by XPENG as a cornerstone investor. Its A1 round was led by JD.com, with participation from CATL Capital, Yintai Group, TH Capital, Guochen(in Chinese Pinyin) Fund, a fund under FORTUNE CAPITAL, and Huangpu River Capital.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
