FAW and GAC Industry officially signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement today. The two parties will leverage asset and capital synergies, drive progress through technological innovation, gradually deepen and expand the scope of cooperation, promote efficient cross-regional coordination of industrial resources, work together to improve operational quality and efficiency, and jointly advance the development and upgrading of China's automotive industry.

Hyundai Motor to Launch IONIQ V in China on September 29

Hyundai Motor is set to officially launch the IONIQ V, a China-focused midsize electric sedan, in China on September 29. Its presale prices range from RMB 119,900 to RMB 139,900. The car will use CATL-supplied LFP batteries in 53.5 kWh and 66.8 kWh versions. Their respective driving ranges are about 520 km and 650 km under China’s CLTC standard. The model also supports 800 V fast charging.

[EV Truck: Gotion's Dianlala Unveils Swap Solution at IAA; First Truck for Europe-Africa Corridor Delivered]

Gotion High-Tech's mobile storage-charging-swapping system Dianlala, together with Chery Commercial Vehicle's United Trucks, unveiled an integrated vehicle-PV-storage-charging-swapping solution at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover on Sep 14, and delivered the first battery-swap heavy truck for the Europe-Africa transport corridor on site. The modular system offers 430kWh+430kWh packs and 5-minute swaps without fixed stations, and its truck swap interface is covered by the IEC 63066 standard, targeting cross-border trunk routes, logistics parks and temporary lines to ease charging pain points for electric heavy trucks in Europe and Africa.
