[Zijin Mining's 20,000 mt/year Lithium Carbonate Project in Argentina Commences Production]
According to Zijin Mining, on September 12 local time in Argentina, the commencement ceremony for the 20,000 mt/year lithium carbonate project at the 3Q Salt Lake, operated by its subsidiary Liex, was held in Fiambalá, Catamarca Province. It is reported that preliminary work for the second-phase project, including permit approvals, is progressing in an orderly manner. The planned lithium carbonate capacity is 40,000 mt/year. Once both phases reach full production, the total annual capacity is expected to reach 60,000-80,000 mt.
