According to a Tesla lead engineer, this advancement will increase the usable daily range by 12.5% without compromising long-term battery health. The innovation aims to enhance convenience for owners of cars with high-energy-density nickel batteries, closing the gap with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries which can be regularly charged to 100%.
