The milestone underscores a significant advance in the company's efforts to industrialize all-solid-state battery technology.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 2, EVE Energy inaugurated its solid-state battery research institute's Chengdu volume production base, where the company's "Longquan No.2" all-solid-state battery officially came off the line, according to a post on the company's WeChat account. The milestone underscores a significant advance in the company's efforts to industrialize all-solid-state battery technology.

According to company disclosures, the Chengdu site spans roughly 11,000 square meters and is designed to produce up to 500,000 cells annually once fully operational. The project is being built in two phases: the first, due for completion in December 2025, will support 60Ah cell production, while the second, scheduled for December 2026, aims to deliver an annual capacity of 100MWh.

The newly launched Longquan No.2 is a 10Ah solid-state cell with an impressive energy density of 300 Wh/kg and a volumetric density of 700 Wh/L. It is designed primarily for advanced applications such as humanoid robots, low-altitude aerial vehicles, and AI-powered equipment.

Chairman Liu Jincheng emphasized that EVE Energy follows a "science-based design and large-scale experimentation" approach in R&D, carefully evaluating competing battery technologies before moving to commercialization once feasibility is confirmed.

Looking ahead, the company intends to advance multiple solid-state technologies under its Longquan product line, accelerating iteration through systematic development. By 2025, EVE Energy aims to push solid-state battery performance to 400 Wh/kg and 1000 Wh/L, with substantial investment in capital, equipment, and R&D resources to bring the technology closer to mass adoption.

Notably, EVE Energy recently announced a strategic partnership with Vbot to deepen collaboration in the robotics sector. The two companies plan to co-develop higher-density battery packs tailored to the evolving needs of humanoid robotics, with expectations of boosting energy capacity by 30% and extending outdoor operating endurance to more than six hoursenough to cover a full day's use.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
