Beijing Tianhai Hydrogen Equipment Co., Ltd., as a core enterprise in the domestic hydrogen storage and transportation equipment field, is initiating a capital increase and share expansion through the Beijing Property Exchange, aiming to raise no more than 300 million yuan for further capacity expansion, deepening R&D, and advancing global layout. This capital increase is based on the company's total equity valuation of 806 million yuan. After the capital increase, its parent company, Beijing Tianhai Industry Co., Ltd., will still hold no less than 70% of the shares, ensuring that control remains unchanged.
Founded in 1993, Tianhai Hydrogen has been deeply involved in the hydrogen equipment field for over 30 years, focusing on the R&D of carbon fiber-wrapped composite cylinders. It was one of the first companies in China to obtain a Type IV cylinder manufacturing license. The company overcame core technical challenges such as material selection for the inner liner of Type IV cylinders and seal structure design, accumulating over 50 invention patents. It also established a fully automated production site with an annual capacity of 60,000 units, covering high-pressure storage cylinders from 35-70MPa, providing key equipment support for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, hydrogen refueling stations, and green hydrogen ESS. Its technical indicators and product performance are at the leading level in China, for example, the processing accuracy of the cylinder mouth reaches 1/8th the diameter of a human hair (within 10 microns), ensuring the safety of high-pressure hydrogen storage.
As a key enterprise in the domestic hydrogen storage and transportation equipment sector, Tianhai Hydrogen's customers include leading automakers such as BAIC Foton and Yutong, and it is currently obtaining certifications in European, North American, and Southeast Asian markets, accelerating its global layout. Although the net profit in 2024 was -2.096 million yuan (mainly affected by R&D investment and market expansion), its operating income reached 337 million yuan, with total assets exceeding 800 million yuan, demonstrating a solid business foundation. With the emergence of new scenarios such as hydrogen-powered heavy trucks, ships, and rail transit, the company's business growth potential is significant.
Driven by the "dual carbon" goals, Beijing and the national government have introduced a series of policies to support the development of the hydrogen energy industry, such as the "Several Policy Measures for Supporting the Development of the Hydrogen Energy Industry in Beijing," which clearly provides subsidies for hydrogen refueling station construction and vehicle promotion, and encourages enterprises to participate in the formulation of international standards. Tianhai Hydrogen is deeply involved in key projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, collaborating with universities such as Tsinghua University and Dalian University of Technology, forming an integrated innovation system of "industry-university-research-application," continuously consolidating its technological leadership.
Although this capital increase faces the uncertainty of not attracting investors, with its first-mover advantage in technology, policy empowerment, and growing market demand, Tianhai Hydrogen is poised to further expand its leading position in the hydrogen equipment sector and become a key participant in the global hydrogen industry chain. Its development path not only demonstrates the technological breakthroughs of Chinese hydrogen companies but also provides a model for global industry competition.
