






On July 23, Liaoyuan Tianying Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. announced the first public disclosure of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report for its project of efficiently utilizing carbon dioxide to produce 150,000 mt of green methane annually (Phase I).
According to the disclosure, the project site of efficiently utilizing carbon dioxide to produce 150,000 mt of green methane annually (Phase I) by Liaoyuan Tianying Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is located on the south side of the intersection between the South Second Ring Road and Kangle Street in the Chemical Industry Park of Liaoyuan High-tech Industrial Park. The construction unit is Liaoyuan Tianying Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
This project intends to utilize green electricity generated from its self-built wind farm to electrolyze water and produce green hydrogen. Combined with CO2 captured from the carbon capture process of the biomass power generation project as raw material, methane will be synthesized. After cryogenic liquefaction, green methane products will be produced and sold externally as fuel for green transportation and shipping. Taking into account factors such as national industrial policies, technical reliability, corporate investment, and raw material supply, the construction scale of this project is determined as follows: the maximum hydrogen production capacity of the water electrolysis hydrogen production unit is 88,000 Nm³/h, equipped with 88 alkaline electrolyzers with a single hydrogen production capacity of 1000 Nm³/h; one set of methane synthesis and cryogenic liquefaction unit will be installed, with a single set design scale of 150,000 mt/year. Based on the fluctuation characteristics of wind power, 17 hydrogen balloon tanks with a capacity of 2000 m³ each will be constructed to minimize the impact of hydrogen fluctuations on the methane unit and maintain continuous, stable, and safe operation. The project will also be equipped with LNG storage and filling units, as well as supporting auxiliary production facilities.
