[Hertwich Wins Equipment Order from Hydro]

Hydro Aluminium has ordered a batch homogenisation system from Hertwich for its recycling plant in Torija, Spain. The package includes three furnaces, two cooling chambers, a billet saw, ultrasonic testing, and a packing station.
Set to start operations in 2026, the plant will produce 120,000 tonnes of low-carbon recycled aluminium billets annually for sectors like transport, construction, renewables, and consumer goods. The system improves heating speed, energy efficiency, and product consistency.
