Premier African Minerals announced that it had completed the installation of spodumene flotation section inserts at its Zulu lithium-tantalum project in Zimbabwe and restarted the plant on July 6. The modification aims to shorten the retention time in the cleaning section and improve product grade and recovery rate.
George Roach, CEO of the company, said, "With the support of equipment suppliers, we have gradually resumed trial operation. We are currently testing the operation status of each section with limited feed volume. After the sealant has cured, we will officially commission the spodumene cleaning cell inserts today." It is reported that the project will subsequently commence feeding the raw ore stockpile and conduct commissioning and optimization of the primary flotation system.
