Green Hydrogen Project Tracking — China Coal's Wind and Solar Power-to-Hydrogen Project Approved

On July 7, the ChinaCoal Linxi County wind and solar power-to-hydrogen integrated project (Phase I green methanol section) and the ChinaCoal Linxi County wind and solar power-to-hydrogen integrated project (Phase I hydrogen production section) were officially filed. The total project investment is 1,664,447,700 yuan.

Among them, the ChinaCoal Linxi County wind and solar power-to-hydrogen integrated project (Phase I green methanol section), located in Chifeng City - Linxi County - Chifeng Linxi Industrial Park, has a total investment of 1,146,467,700 yuan. The project owner is ChinaCoal (Linxi) Bioenergy Co., Ltd. Construction scope includes: total floor area of 80,658㎡, construction of a comprehensive building, central control room, central laboratory building, warehouse, methanol product tank farm, vehicle loading station, maintenance workshop, chemical storage facility, and other supporting ancillary facilities. A new methanol production line will be established to achieve an annual production capacity of 100,000 mt of green methanol. Planned construction period: July 2025 to July 2027.

The ChinaCoal Linxi County wind and solar power-to-hydrogen integrated project (Phase I hydrogen production section), located in Chifeng City - Linxi County - Chifeng Linxi Industrial Park, has ChinaCoal (Linxi) Bioenergy Co., Ltd. as the project owner, with a total investment of 517.98 million yuan. Construction scale and content: total floor area of 4,550.04㎡, construction of 1 hydrogen production workshop, adopting 16 sets of 1,400Nm³/h alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production units and 10 sets of 2,000m³ hydrogen gas storage spheres, achieving an annual hydrogen production capacity of 7,901 mt; supporting facilities include step-down substations, transformers, and other ancillary equipment. Planned construction period: March 2026 to August 2027.

Auxiliary facilities such as step-down stations and transformers will also be provided.
