On July 4, a termination announcement was issued for the supervision and manufacturing supervision of the hydrogen production side of the CNNC Horqin Right Wing Front Banner Wind Power Storage, Hydrogen Production, and Ammonia Production Integrated Demonstration Project.
The announcement stated that by the deadline for submitting tender documents, the number of participating bidders did not meet the statutory requirements, resulting in the failure of the tender for this project.
According to the tender documents published on June 10, the CNNC Horqin Right Wing Front Banner Wind Power Storage, Hydrogen Production, and Ammonia Production Integrated Demonstration Project is located in the eastern part of Horqin Right Wing Front Banner, Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. This integrated demonstration project for wind power storage, hydrogen production, and ammonia production is a grid-connected demonstration project, with a planned total capacity of 500,000 kW for wind power and an annual power generation of 1.69 billion kWh for the wind farm. It is equipped with a supporting installed capacity of 10% and a 2-hour duration, namely, LFP (mid-end, for ESS) energy storage equipment with a capacity of 50 MW/100 MWh. Meanwhile, a large-scale wind power-based hydrogen production system will be constructed in the Xing'an League Industrial Park, mainly including hydrogen production and storage. The hydrogen production scale is 56,000 Nm³/h, encompassing systems for gas-liquid separation, purification, and supporting auxiliary systems such as compressed air and cooling water. The hydrogen storage scale is 37.4 t. The annual utilization hours of the hydrogen production system in this project are approximately 4,828 h, with an annual electricity consumption of about 1.358 billion kWh (including 2.37 million kWh of electricity purchased from the grid), an annual hydrogen production of about 24,100 mt, and an electricity output to the grid of about 335 million kWh, accounting for 19.80% of the total electricity.
Scale of hydrogen production unit: The feasible study scale includes 56 electrolyzers with a capacity of 1,000 Nm³/h each, resulting in a hydrogen production scale of 56,000 Nm³/h. It is equipped with 14 sets of gas-liquid separation devices with a capacity of 4,000 Nm³/h each and 14 sets of hydrogen purification devices with a capacity of 4,000 Nm³/h each.
Consortium bidding is not accepted for this tender.
