According to foreign media reports on June 30, the vision of the Guinean government is now clear: Guinea hopes to transform from a simple bauxite exporter to a major producer of aluminum. The first fruits of this determination are beginning to emerge, as SPIC has taken relevant steps, with construction of its refinery starting on March 26, 2025, and expected to be completed by December 2027.
