






Recently, the Hongqi hydrogen fuel cell vehicle project successfully passed key tests on hydrogen consumption and driving range at the China Automotive Technology & Research Center (hereinafter referred to as "CATARC"), not only verifying the outstanding performance of the Hongqi hydrogen fuel cell system but also showcasing the technological prowess of Hongqi R&D in rapidly transforming forward-looking technologies into product competitiveness.
The tests were conducted in strict accordance with the international CHTC-C test procedure, the most stringent standard, at CATARC's national-level laboratories. The results demonstrated that the Hongqi hydrogen fuel cell system excelled in stability and energy management precision, successfully passing the tests. Moreover, it achieved a 15% reduction in hydrogen consumption compared to competitors with lower curb weights, reaching an industry-leading level.
This breakthrough achievement fully highlights two core strengths of the Hongqi R&D system: first, its efficient technology transformation capability, significantly enhancing the industrialisation speed of technological achievements through the establishment of an agile development system from technology pre-research to testing and verification; second, its autonomous and controllable capability in key technologies, with 100% independent development of the fuel cell hybrid energy management strategy, providing strong technical support for the mass production application of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
The interim results achieved in these tests signify that Hongqi has successfully mastered the key core technologies of fuel cell hybrid energy management in the hydrogen energy field, which represents the future direction. Moving forward, FAW Group will continue to optimize the performance and quality of Hongqi hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, further consolidating its leading position in this strategic technological field and injecting innovative momentum into the high-quality development of China's NEV industry.
