April Data on U.S. Debt Holdings Released

The US Treasury Department's Treasury International Capital (TIC) report revealed that foreign investors' holdings of US Treasury bonds approached record highs in April. China's holdings of US Treasury bonds stood at $757 billion in April, down from $765 billion in March; the UK's holdings amounted to $808 billion, an increase from $779 billion in March; and Japan's holdings were $1.135 trillion, up from $1.131 trillion in March.
