[SMM News] SMM, June 12 - Recently, two international standards, ISO 8074 "Aerospace - Surface treatment of austenitic stainless steel parts" and ISO 8075 "Aerospace - Surface treatment of precipitation hardening stainless steel parts", jointly developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) under the leadership of the Materials Subcommittee of the Technical Committee for Aerospace of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO/TC20/SC18), were officially released. These two international standards will further optimize the surface treatment process technology for stainless steel, ensure the consistency of the surface treatment quality of parts, thereby enhancing the corrosion and oxidation resistance of aerospace equipment, promoting the R&D and industrialisation of key technologies for green manufacturing of global aerospace vehicles, and improving the quality of aerospace equipment.
