Green Hydrogen Project Tracking - PowerChina's Tender for 4200Nm³/h Hydrogen Production Equipment

On June 9, PowerChina issued a tender announcement for the hydrogen production equipment and supporting procurement project of the 200MW PV power generation project in Zaoyang, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province.

According to the tender announcement, the hydrogen production equipment and supporting equipment procurement project for the 200MW PV power generation project in Zaoyang, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, adopts an integrated development model of PV + water electrolysis for hydrogen production, comprising a 200MW PV power generation project and a 4,200 Nm³/h water electrolysis hydrogen production project.

The hydrogen production project has a construction scale of 4,200 Nm³/h, with plans to select internationally advanced 1,000 Nm³/h water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment and 200 Nm³/h PEM hydrogen production equipment. The proposed site is located in the Chengnan Chemical Industrial Park in Zaoyang, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province. Hydrogen will be produced by electrolyzing water using off-peak electricity, with the produced hydrogen transported via pipelines to hydrogen-consuming enterprises within the industrial park. Excess hydrogen will be transported by tanker trucks to other hydrogen-consuming enterprises in Xiangyang City. The power supply for hydrogen production will be provided by a 10kV power supply from the nearby chemical industrial park. The five electrolyzer systems can operate alternately as needed. The power supply system, compressors, oxygen purification and compression equipment will be expanded after hydrogen consumption reaches the expected level.

Scope of Tender:

Package 1: 1,000 Nm³/h alkaline + 200 Nm³/h PEM hybrid electrolyzer equipment and auxiliary equipment, including the hydrogen production system, filling system, electrical system, control system, water treatment system, and other required equipment for design, manufacturing, inspection, packaging, insurance, transportation, delivery, acceptance (including archive acceptance), on-site debugging and installation guidance, preparation and submission of technical documents, operator training, maintenance and repair during the warranty period, as well as supporting spare parts and special tools; an integrated control platform to ensure efficient and automatic operation of the entire plant system; and a wind and solar power output simulator.

Package 2: 3*1,000 Nm³/h conventional alkaline electrolyzer equipment and auxiliary equipment, including the hydrogen production system, electrical system, control system, and other required equipment for design, manufacturing, inspection, packaging, insurance, transportation, delivery, acceptance (including archive acceptance), on-site debugging and installation guidance, preparation and submission of technical documents, operator training, maintenance and repair during the warranty period, as well as supporting spare parts and special tools.

It should be noted that all equipment and instruments within the supply scope, whether explicitly stated in the contract or not, are part of the bidder's supply responsibility if they are necessary for system safety or hydrogen quality. The bidder shall provide them unconditionally.

Delivery Period: 100 calendar days after contract signing.
