Shanghai Electric and China Energy Investment Corporation Held Talks on Promoting Demonstration Projects Such as Hydrogen-Ammonia Co-Firing

On the afternoon of June 6, Zou Lei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of National Energy Investment Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "National Energy Group"), held talks with Wu Lei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group. The two sides reached multiple consensus on issues such as clean coal utilization, new energy R&D, and industry chain collaboration.

Zou Lei pointed out that currently, National Energy Group is undertaking major national special tasks, including clean coal mining, intelligent transformation, and next-generation coal-fired power technology, accelerating the construction of a modern coal chemical industry system that is high-end, diversified, and low-carbon. He hoped that the two sides could further consolidate the results of their previous cooperation, closely focus on the core of serving national strategies, deepen cooperation in advancing breakthroughs in key coal chemical technologies, deepening the construction of new coal-fired power units and the transformation of existing units, and strengthening in-depth collaboration in strategic emerging industries, jointly making new contributions to safeguarding national energy security and advancing China's modernization drive.

Wu Lei expressed gratitude to National Energy Group for its long-term support and assistance to Shanghai Electric and introduced Shanghai Electric's business layout and recent developments. He stated that in recent years, Shanghai Electric has been continuously seeking breakthroughs in the new energy sector. Through cooperation with National Energy Group, it has advanced multiple "first-of-a-kind" demonstration projects, forging capabilities across the entire industry chain, from wind turbine hosts to hydrogen energy equipment. He hoped that the two sides could continue to strengthen coordination, continuously deepen cooperation in the field of new power systems, focus on advancing next-generation coal-fired power demonstration projects and major technical equipment demonstration projects such as hydrogen-ammonia co-firing and flexible peak shaving transformation, and jointly provide important support for China's energy structure transformation.

Xu Xinfu, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of National Energy Group, Jin Xiaolong, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Shanghai Electric, as well as relevant leaders from both sides attended the talks.
