AFC Energy Forms Partnership with Ammonia Cracking Company

Published: Jun 9, 2025 15:56

Recently, AFC Energy, a UK-based hydrogen power generation technology supplier, has signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with an undisclosed S&P 500 industrial company to develop a range of small to large-scale ammonia cracking units for hydrogen production using its proprietary modular ammonia cracking technology.

It is understood that under the JDA, the development costs incurred by the UK supplier will be borne by the industrial partner. After achieving key milestones, the commercial relationship between the two parties is expected to generate substantial revenue for AFC Energy starting from 2027.
