On May 28, HDF Energy, Indonesia's national electricity operator PLN, and state-owned infrastructure financing institution PT SMI signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU). Additionally, HDF Energy signed a second agreement with the East Nusa Tenggara provincial government, which bolstered the governor's confidence in HDF's projects and strengthened HDF's presence in this high-potential region.

This collaboration aims to identify and implement innovative financing mechanisms to support HDF's 23 Renewstable® projects currently under development in Indonesia, with a total investment of 2.3 billion euros. These projects have been included in the Indonesian government's recently released National Development Roadmap for Hydrogen and Ammonia Energy, which positions hydrogen as a strategic pillar of the national energy mix, particularly in the power generation sector.

HDF Energy's development focus is in eastern Indonesia, with 23 Renewstable® projects currently underway. Eight of these projects are located in East Nusa Tenggara province. HDF Energy has signed a memorandum of understanding with the provincial governor to enhance local cooperation and accelerate deployment.

Renewstable® power plants combine intermittent renewable energy (solar or wind) with large-scale green hydrogen energy storage to provide clean, renewable, stable, and baseload power around the clock. This solution offers a sustainable alternative to local diesel power plants. The surplus green hydrogen generated can also be used to decarbonize regional maritime transport. HDF Energy, Indonesia's national electricity company (PLN), and PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry signed the first structured agreement in this field in April 2025 to launch this maritime decarbonization initiative.
