On May 25, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Xinjiang Haoyuan Photovoltaic Hydrogen Production Coupled with Clean Resource Utilization and Low-Carbon Integrated Project, which is under the general construction contracting of the Xinjiang Command of the 16th Chemical Engineering Construction Branch of China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation (CNCEC), was held. This project is the first major engineering project with an investment exceeding 10 billion yuan introduced by Jimusar County, marking a crucial step forward in the integrated development of clean energy and the chemical industry in the region.
The project fully leverages the region's abundant coal and solar energy resources, employing clean and low-carbon technologies for coupled conversion to produce a diverse range of chemical products, including green hydrogen, methanol, ethanol, synthetic ammonia, high-nitrogen water-soluble compound fertilizers, and more. The project will be constructed in three phases, with Phase I and Phase II commencing simultaneously. Upon completion, it will have an annual production capacity of 400,000 mt of synthetic ammonia, 500,000 mt of high-nitrogen compound fertilizers, 200,000 mt of diesel exhaust cleaners, 120,000 mt of melamine, 800,000 mt of acetic acid, 1.2 million mt of ethyl acetate, and 600,000 mt of ethanol. After the project becomes operational, it will not only drive the industrial economy of Jimusar County to gather energy and enhance efficiency but also stimulate employment growth and industrial upgrading, helping to transform local resource advantages into new momentum for sustainable development.
The key installations undertaken by the Xinjiang Command, including the main framework of the high-nitrogen compound fertilizer plant, the compression workshop, the ammonia synthesis unit, and the tank farm, constitute the core of the project. Faced with challenges such as a shortage of personnel, high temperatures, and harsh environmental conditions like sandstorms, the project team responded swiftly, advancing construction efficiently and demonstrating strong enforcement and professionalism, earning high recognition from the owner and supervision unit.
As the first chemical project developed in the primary responsibility area of the Xinjiang Command, all builders will aim to create a high-quality project, sparing no effort to ensure the task is completed to a high standard, delivering a satisfactory result to the owner, and presenting an outstanding achievement to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the company's establishment.
