On May 29, Jilin Branch of China Energy Engineering Group Investment Co., Ltd. signed a letter of intent for cooperation on the integrated production and marketing of green methanol with Sinopec Chemical Products Sales Company. The signing of this agreement aims to establish a brand-new industry chain for the supply and marketing of green methanol, marking a groundbreaking advancement in the Taonan Green Hydrogen, Ammonia, and Methanol Integration Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Taonan Project") of Jilin Company.
In recent years, Jilin Company has been committed to responding to the national "dual carbon" strategy and promoting the local consumption of new energy. The Taonan Project represents a significant layout by the investment group in the field of hydrogen-based green fuels in north-east China during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. This cooperation not only opens up product supply and marketing channels for the Taonan Project but also facilitates the exploration of a replicable integrated cooperation model for the supply and marketing of green methanol between the two parties.
Going forward, Jilin Company will continue to advance the project, using high-quality products to implement the national dual carbon strategy and providing crucial practical experience for the investment group in developing new quality productive forces.
