Green Hydrogen Project Tracking - Central China Inner Parts and Sungrow New Energy Collaborate on Hydrogen Production, Hydrogen Refueling, Hydrogen-Powered Vehicles, and Green Preparation of Hydrogen, Ammonia, and Methanol

On June 4, Central China Internal Combustion Engine Fitting Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Central China Internal Combustion Engine Fitting") issued an announcement regarding the signing of a strategic cooperation framework agreement.

The announcement stated that, given the pressure of global energy transition, the challenges of large-scale new energy deployment, and the urgent need for flexibility in the power system, reforming the energy system is an inevitable choice. In response to the "dual carbon" goals, Central China Internal Combustion Engine Fitting Group Co., Ltd. signed a "Strategic Cooperation Agreement" (hereinafter referred to as the "Cooperation Agreement") with Sungrow New Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sungrow New Energy") on May 30, 2025, aiming to achieve complementary advantages and win-win cooperation through the transformation of the energy structure.

According to the framework agreement, to increase Party A's consumption of green electricity, reduce Central China Internal Combustion Engine Fitting's energy costs, and enhance product competitiveness, both parties agreed to adopt an energy contract management model. Central China Internal Combustion Engine Fitting will provide electricity consumption scenarios, while Sungrow New Energy will invest in constructing a 100MW wind power (Phase I: 50MW) generation-grid-load-storage integrated project in Mengzhou City.

In terms of hydrogen energy equipment industry cooperation, Central China Internal Combustion Engine Fitting has been committed to building a new energy hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing system. Sungrow New Energy and its parent company, Sungrow, have been increasing their investments in hydrogen-based energy investment and hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing. Both parties will leverage their respective strengths to select suitable regions and engage in in-depth cooperation in hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing, with Sungrow New Energy assisting Central China Internal Combustion Engine Fitting in the manufacturing and market development of hydrogen energy equipment.

In terms of hydrogen energy application scenarios, the development of the hydrogen energy industry relies on the construction of hydrogen energy infrastructure and the establishment of application scenarios. Both parties plan to collaborate in Henan Province on hydrogen production stations, hydrogen refueling stations, hydrogen vehicle applications, traditional energy substitution, green preparation of hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol, and securing government orders.

By signing a long-term green electricity agreement with Sungrow New Energy, Central China Internal Combustion Engine Fitting will further reduce its energy costs, increase the proportion of green energy use, drive energy transformation, and enhance the market competitiveness of its products, achieving mutual benefit and win-win results beyond direct power supply from the generation-grid-load-storage project.

Central China Internal Combustion Engine Fitting stated that this cooperation aims to form complementary advantages with Sungrow New Energy's strategic layout, jointly promoting the development of the company's generation-grid-load-storage integration and hydrogen energy industry projects. This is conducive to accelerating the company's energy structure transformation and establishing a new pattern of benign interaction and green development.

This cooperation can effectively enhance the full utilization of new energy, implement the company's carbon reduction plans, achieve green, energy-efficient, and sustainable industrial development, while further reducing costs, improving economic efficiency, and enhancing the company's core competitiveness.
