Green Hydrogen Project Tracking - Xing'an League Goldwind Science&Technology Power-to-Hydrogen Project

Details of the Goldwind Science&Technology Electrolytic Hydrogen Production Project in Xing'an League are as follows:
Project Owner: Goldwind Green Energy Hydrogen Energy Technology (Xing'an League) Co., Ltd.
Investment Amount: The total investment is 600 million yuan, including 120 million yuan of self-owned funds and 480 million yuan of bank loans applied for.
Product Capacity: The hydrogen production scale is 32,000 Nm³/h. Upon full completion and operation of the project, the annual output of green hydrogen will be 10,000 mt.
Project Progress:
On May 20, 2025, the Goldwind Science&Technology Wind Power-to-Hydrogen (Phase I) Project in Xing'an League officially received approval for filing.
Construction is planned to commence in July 2025 and is expected to be completed by May 2027.
This project is part of Goldwind Science&Technology's 500,000-mt Green Methanol Production Project Coupled with Wind Power in Xing'an League. The project's Phase I and II cover an area of approximately 1,024 mu, with a total investment of 3 billion yuan. Recently, the core unit of the project—the key equipment for syngas preparation, the biomass gasifier—was successfully hoisted, marking the project's entry into the comprehensive equipment installation phase. Phase I of the project is expected to be completed in March 2026, with full completion by November 2026.
Project Location: Located to the east of Huhe Road in the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia.

In addition, Goldwind Science&Technology's 500,000-mt Green Methanol Production Project Coupled with Wind Power in Xing'an League is planned to have a total investment of 13.665 billion yuan, with a wind power construction scale of 2 million kW, along with the construction of biomass power generation units, biomass gasification units, etc. Upon completion, it will produce 500,000 mt of green methanol annually. The project will be constructed in two phases, with Phase I having a production scale of 250,000 mt/year. It officially commenced in April 2024, and the Southwestern Institute of Chemical Industry, China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation, won the bid for the T+EPC general contracting project of the electrolytic hydrogen production plant (Phase I) of this project. The gasifier installation has been completed, and the project is expected to commence operation in September this year. Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) released the "List of Demonstration Projects for Advanced Green and Low-Carbon Technologies (Second Batch)", and Goldwind's 2 million kW Wind Power-to-Hydrogen 500,000-mt Green Methanol Demonstration Project in Xing'an League was successfully selected for the national-level demonstration project list.
